This week, the playlist of iFilm English TV Channel will not see many changes as only ‘The Night Will Pass’ is to leave the channel’s air time.

Rama Qavidel’s drama will come to an end on Monday October 16, to be replaced by ‘The Shade’ co-directed by Jamshid and Navid Mahmoudi from Tuesday October 17.

iFilmers can watch the new title every day at 22:00 GMT.

‘The Shade’ tells the story of Sohrab and Saeed, two childhood friends from a working-class neighborhood. Sohrab works in a furniture workshop on the brink of bankruptcy. Saeed is jobless and penniless. He takes care of his ailing father and younger brother. He’s under constant pressure from his wife to get a steady job and move out of his father’s house.

Their friendship is put to the ultimate test when shortly after Saeed borrows money from Sohrab to start a business, Sohrab’s sister, Sara, gets engaged, leaving Sohrab desperate to come up with money for sister’s dowry. What ensues is a riveting tale of faith, honor, loyalty and dignity.
